Is It Just a Bad Joke?

Has the Canadian Justice System always been a joke?

Has it always been a system that accepts its moral corruption?

Has it always been a system that is based on loopholes, not truth?

Has it always been about skilled lawyers rather than fixing wrongs?
(Please don’t argue the necessary protection of individual rights against the power of the state – the overreach is beyond acceptable)

Have victims always been an afterthought?

Am I over-cynical, or is this system as pathetic as it looks?

If it is that pathetic, how do people stay working in it?

Do they see blood on their own hands from those who gave up?

Do they see the tears of those who are about to give up?

Do they know there is true justice awaiting them when they enter eternity?
A system that is just!
A system where they have no power!
A system based on truth!
A system, where their silver tongues will speak no more!

It would be a joke if it were not so depressing.
